Eko Park is a proposed 114-unit apartment complex in Springfield, MO, designed to serve and attract residents of southwest Springfield, Center City, and Downtown. This full-amenities complex with posses many construction materials and design features inspired from LEED guidelines, including recycling receptacles, green dry wall, 100% recycled steel, spray foam insulation, recycled plastic, reclaimed wood, and construction waste diverted from landfill towards places where it can be used. Additionally, at this modern, environmentally-conscious complex, all paints will be free of VOC's, high-efficiency mechanical systems will be used, the landscaping will be drought resistant and feature plants indigenous to the area, and florescent motion sensor lighting will ensure minimum energy usage.
