In 2010, the H Design/Hight - Jackson team was awarded several projects within the Republic School District including Price, McCulloch, Schofield, and Lyon Elementary School renovations, Campus Master Planning Services, and Tennis/ Soccer Complex Concession Facilities.
The overall Elementary Schools’ phase #1 improvements included new administrative areas, new nurse's offices, new restrooms, new classrooms, new computer labs, new HVAC, new lockers, new playgrounds, new monument signage, new parking areas and new bus-lanes.
The completed master plan will outline a comprehensive strategy for the district to move forward and develop or improve the campus through a long-range plan that attempts to balance and harmonize the entire Republic School District.
In addition, the soccer and tennis amenities plan involves the addition of concessions, team locker rooms, field storage, and public restrooms. Two major elements that were considered in the design were: taking into account the topography and existing location of tennis/ soccer fields and being able to have the final design “blend” into the existing vocabulary of the High School campus. Utilizing simple forms, brick banding along with horizontal canopy elements, as well as engaging signage into the final design; gives this new complex its own identity... yet ties into the larger existing High School campus.
