Chris Loehr joined h design group in August 2015—bringing 10 years of architectural experience to the team. Chris’ background is in a variety of projects including commercial, educational, hospital and municipal facilities across the Midwest.
Originally from the railroad town of Carroll, Iowa, Chris moved back to his home state after graduating with his master’s degree in 2005 from Nebraska University. There, he hit the ground running to pursue his childhood career plan of being an architect. His career began at Sinclair Hille Architects as an intern architect, before becoming an architect at FEH Associates.
With his adventurous attitude, and a little persuasion from family friends, Chris decided to make the move to Springfield, MO where he joined HMN architects—spending a year and a half specializing in hospital design. His diverse experience and background make him a valuable asset to H, and the group is excited to have added him to the team.
Being an alumnus of Nebraska, Chris shouts, “Go Big Red!” on game day while he enjoys watching football and hockey on the screen. Three things he loves about Springfield: Less snow, proximity to Table Rock Lake, and his family is moving to the area soon.
At H, Chris is already utilizing his experience and skills in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and any design program that makes the project succeed. Currently he is working alongside other team members on the Nixa Senior Community Center, as well as other projects.
