H has new team members—Brad Samuels—Architect

Brad Samuels joined h design group back in February 2015, and has been a power source from the get-go. Brad is earning 10 years of experience in architecture, and is a driving collaborator in 3D design at H. His background of architectural projects ranges across all building types—and he enjoys that design is continually stimulating and always poses new challenges.

Attending his hometown state’s university, Brad obtained his bachelor’s professional 5-year degree from the University of Arkansas School of Architecture. Immediately after college, Brad used the motto he had when he used to play basketball—be a starter that never needed to sit on the bench during the game. Therefore, he sought for the best opportunity to jump right in to be a proactive and engaged architect, and began his career at Creative Ink Architects in Springfield, MO as an intern and quickly the role of project manager.

Before becoming a project architect at H, he was a project manager and a design lead for Paragon Architecture. Being the lead on multiple projects, Brad’s “ah-ha” moment occurred when he was sitting in a board meeting for a project. There he realized that you have to “Gain the respect and inspire a project team, and people will work harder for you—not just with you,” he explained. Brad’s resume includes educational facilities, Bass Pro Shops, townhomes, corporate headquarters, and more.

Brad’s view on the future of architecture is very positive. He is looking forward to new challenges, new opportunities, and gaining more knowledge as time continues. As he quotes Einstein, “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.” Brad has definitely taken advice from Einstein, because he takes an innovative approach on all projects he works on. At H, Brad is currently working on multiple projects including DiVentures Scuba and Swim Center, Intuitive Web Solutions, commercial developments, and modern student housing.
